Teaching and
Scholar-in-Residence

Bringing passion for how Jewish texts and values can inform our modern lives to every class or weekend, I have been a guest lecturer/ teacher/ scholar-in-residence in Jewish and non-Jewish settings across the globe for over 20 years. I bring a liberal, feminist approach to traditional texts. After being a professional in adult education for over 20 years teaching thousands of adults, and as an author of four books, my style is engaging and participatory.

I work with individuals, executives, and clergy to help navigate career and/or career transition step-by-step, focusing on self-growth, planning for your timelines, approach, family dynamics, institutions, and more. I offer coaching that is grounded in both the spiritual and the practical for mindful career moves and meaningful retirement.

And I'm a "Rabbipreneur"—after successfully starting and nourishing two institutions over 30 years, I work with communities looking to start or strengthen their institutions, congregations, and offerings.

"I worked with Rabbi Goldstein for a year and appreciated her listening skills and good coaching. She has the ability to understand complex interpersonal situations quickly and was able to to guide me in making my own decisions about how to proceed. She will be there for you and is comforting even while asking challenging questions."
Rabbi Michael Wolk, Senior Rabbi, Temple Israel of Charlotte

Pastoral Counseling

“Rabbi Goldstein taught us how to take a deep breath when our son was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. She walked with us as we navigated our way to come to terms with this devastating news. Her support was skilled, realistic and insightful."
J and L, Toronto

Travel With Me

"We have thoroughly enjoyed traveling on three different adventures organized by Rabbi Elyse. Her trips are not just about seeing the sights, but also about the local culture, people, food and a good dose of Jewish history in the region. We always look forward to where in the world she will take us next, and we’ve already signed up for the Portugal trip!"
Linda and Dave, Guelph
